Who we are

Hi! I am Eline and I run my hand dyed yarn business CreaLien Design from my home in Dieren, The Netherlands, where I live together with my husband Michel, our boy Teun who was born in May '22, our British Shorthair cat Joop. We're currently happily expecting our second child, due January/February '24.
 
Our attic is dedicated to my yarn business. This is where I dye, store, photograph, wrap and pack all the yarn and fibre that you find here on the website.
Although I run the business on my own, CreaLien Design wouldn't be the same without Michel! Not only is he the one to bring most of your packages to the post office, he is also my biggest fan and greatest supporter!

How CreaLien Design came to be

My great-grandmother is the one who taught me how to knit and crochet when I was a little girl. I was around 15 years old when it finally clicked and I got really into it. That is when I started crocheting blankets, knitting sweaters and socks. And I just never stopped!

Around 2011 (I believe) hand dyed yarns started to make an appearance and I instantly fell in love! I started doing research and taught myself how to dye yarn. During the next few years I learned a lot about dyeing yarn and it was so much fun that I started dyeing more and more. Just as a hobby and for personal use only at first. But after a while, this hobby was starting to get a bit out of hand and I really couldn't keep everything I dyed anymore.
 
Then, on my 29th birthday, 23 October 2019, my dream came true!
I officially registered CreaLien Design as a business and dyeing yarn and fibre became my full time job!!
